THE WESTERLY STORY

 

The Westerly Story records the history of Westerly and the boats they built. The company was without doubt the most successful British yacht builder of it's time.

 

Westerly has not existed as a production boat builder for some years now, most of its records have been lost and those that have been saved by various ex-employees are difficult to trace. The staff have moved on to new lives; many of the older members to retirement. Brian Easteal felt that whilst this is a story which can still be told today, perhaps the telling could not wait any longer.

 

Containing 112 colour pages and packed with rare photographs, it provides an excellent reference book of information on all the Classic Westerly Yachts. The book was researched and written by Brian Easteal and (Yachting Monthly journalist) Peter Poland. habanero's Chris Bruty handled the complete design and production.
